You can also set up a direct debit with your bank for your electricity bill which will let the bank directly deduct the money from your account and pay the bill on your behalf but that is something you will have to check with your bank first.
There are two ways to pay your online electricity bill, it’s either by visiting the company’s websiteandpay or by login into your bank account and then pay.

Step 1: You need to look for the last electricity statement, you will either have it by post or if you have signed up for e-statement then you must have it in your email.
Step 2: Read the statement carefully and find out your account number and also the company’s website. You will also find the guidelines for how to pay your bill online on the statement too.
Step 3: Now visit the company’s website. Click on the payment section. You should find a separate section for paying your bills.
Step 4: Look out for the tab which says “pay your bill” or “pay”.
Step 5: Go through the instructions carefully. Once you have gone through it, enter your account details and also don’t forget to confirm your email address.
Keep your username and password secured in a booklet or somewhere safe. You will need it for future login.
Step 6: You will either need a chequebook or your bank account details.
Step 7: Once you have everything ready, signed into your account and click on pay.
Step 8: Enter all the details, like bill amount and your bank account details. Make sure to verify the details before clicking on the submit button. You may also get the option to pay through your debit or credit card.

Step 10: Speak to your bank for recurring payment each month. Most of the banks allow recurring payment of the same or a bit less or high amount. This will make your payment method even easier. Every month your electricity company will directly deduct the amount from your account and you will receive a confirmation email.
Payment of your electricity bill through bank’s Bill Pay feature
Step 1: Check your latest statement, look out for your account number and also the payee information to set up the payment option with your bank.
Step 2: Login to your account. In case if you don’t have one then contact your bank and set up an account.
Step 3: Lookout for bill pay option on your bank’s website.
Step 4: Once you find that section, enter the details of your bill amount and also your account details. Do verify all the information and then click on the submit option. Look out for credit and debit card payment option.
Step 5: Click on “make a payment” tab. Enter the amount to be paid. Make sure you have made the payment a few days before the due date. The payment will be submitted on the day you have made the payment, but if the bill gets paid a bit late, the bank won’t be responsible for the delay.
Step 6: Verify the amount and click on submit. Make sure you have sufficient funds in your account so that the bill payment can go through successfully.
Step 7: Double check whether the amount has been deducted or not. Keep sufficient funds and check for any correspondence email by the company or the bank in case of any problem.
